Hi! My name is Nick Augustat. I am a photographer with a background in psychology, currently based in Marburg and Dortmund, Germany. My first digital camera was a ruby-red Nikon Coolpix, before I entered the world of DSLR cameras with Sony Alpha and Canon EOS. When I am not behind the camera, I work as a researcher. My strenght is patience and my weakness is chocolate.

Philosophy

Often, it is just easy to rush, filter and overthink in everyday life; and sometimes, it is just the little things we don’t notice that can make us feel better. I think that it is possible to find maravellous scenes and subjects right around the corner if you look closely and at the right angle. Whether it is flowers, animals or people - I like to find those quiet views and places, and put the overlooked into a timeless frame.
